ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Cleveland Indians hit an offensive hot streak early in Sunday’s game and their bats never cooled off.

After failing to score in the first two games of the series, the Tribe claimed a 13-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

Drew Stubbs was the catalyst, putting the team on the board with a two-out RBI single in the 2nd.

Mark Reynolds tanked the first of five team home runs to give the team a 4-0 lead in the top of the 3rd.  He would launch another in the 7th.

Lonnie Chisenhall and Michael Bourn each stroked their first homer of the year and Carlos Santana boasted five hits, a career high, including a ninth-inning home run.

It has been two years since the team had five home runs in a game.

Justin Masterson struck out eight and only gave up two hits over seven shutout innings.

Hopefully the momentum will continue Monday when the Indians host the Yankees for the Home Opener beginning at 4:05 p.m. at Progressive Field.
